Aelfgifu Travels

My name is Aelfgifu and I am an avid traveller. Over the years I have done a number of trips as a solo female as well a with friends and family. I have always been frustrated with the lack of information available online, especially for those traveling on a budget or solo. On this website I hope to help those who would like any tips and tricks I have accumulated over the years and things you might not have thought about before planning a trip.

I have been to some pretty common travel destinations for those in the UK, notably European countries on the continent, and then to more rogue places such as Mongolia and mainland China. I also have experience in common gap-year destinations such as South America. Through this experience, I hope to be able to offer some useful guidance from someone who has learnt along the way!
